Many institutions have wrestled with the issue of how to handle recital recordings from their music department, school, or college. University of North Texas puts all university ensemble, faculty and guest recitals, and graduate degree recitals in an online archive with access restricted to the UNT community. The process involves the College of Music, UNT Recording Services, the Music Library, and the Digital Library. This presentation will trace the procedure from getting permissions through making recordings, creating metadata, and mounting the finished product in the Digital Library.
